Packages

My goal is to give you something AMAZING that you will treasure forever. That when you look back on your photos you are moved back to "this season" of your life with all of it's excitement (and stress! I know the feeling - I had 3 kids age 3 and under...) I hope that you see the value in stopping to document your life as you know it today. Tomorrow won't be like today, but my hope is that we can pause time and you have something to look back at to forever remember "right now".

FAQ

What do you photograph?

It is my heart to capture photos of families, children and couples. I am flexible in who is being photographed, like graduation or engagement sessions, but I do not do wedding photography.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am in Southern California and I am open to travel up to 1 hour from zip code 92880 for photo sessions. If your location is more than 1 hour, but still "local-ish" - like in Southern California, I add on a $50 fee to travel. For further locations please contact me to see if we can make accommodations.
Note that if your location charges an admission or photography fee that is covered by the client. (There are LOTS of free places to shoot photos)

Can you help us pick a location?

I prefer to shoot in neutral colored areas like a field or the beach. Areas that are not prominently green. To play with the sun light, I like to make sure a location has a clear view of the westward sky/the sunset. Any area not blocked by a hill or huge building allows this perfectly.
If that doesn't help you think of a place or two, I do have a few local spots I love. You can also reference any of my photos if you want to consider the same location.

How many pictures will we receive?

For each package I aim to deliver over the number of photos noted. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that''s why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story.

When will we get our photos?

I can't help myself from getting into editing immediately, but I do also have other commitments. A standard session requires over 5 hours of editing to curate, edit and produce around 100 images. I like to turn around a couple images within a day or two for a sneak peak. Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 2 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and even order prints!
If you do need pictures relatively immediately, let me know. If my schedule permits, I can offer expedited 48 to 72-hour editing for an additional fee.

How do I get the most out of a Mini-session?

Mini-Sessions are awesome! It's just a shorter session, and fewer photos. Which I do always try to over-deliver on! The main tip is to be on time... which is actually early for a mini-session.
They are booked back to back and scheduled right before sunset. This means we have a set end time if you are late and we can't go over at the end, because the sun light will be gone.
The time listed is when we start taking photos. I ask that everyone arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time.
I will connect with you prior to make sure I know what shots you "need" out of our session, that way talking through that doesn't cut out of our time.
15 minutes early is a good time window for a make up and hair touch ups. BUT I do have to say, for kids - do everything you can to prevent the pre-photos infamous "car nap"... that does cause some issues. Getting there a little early gives you a few minutes to get any children warmed up a little. If you have kids, a little bag of M&Ms or Skittles goes a long way!
I try to make my photo spots easy to access. In some cases a little walk could be needed. If that is the case then I will communicate that you would need an extra 5 minutes.
