A Little About me
I'm just a normal person... a wife and mom who loves Jesus. Usually wearing a top knot and leggings. Juggling all the things. I went to school for advertising, which sounds more fun than what I ended up doing in insurance and HR... but I've always more than just "snapped pictures"... that seemed too basic for me.
Initially I only took photos of my girls and my husband casually. Friends kept asking me to "Snap" photos of them... but I knew I wanted them to look a certain way if they were going to have my name on them. God moved me to take photos of more and more friends' families to bless them. Well - they turned out really good! Turns out I was hiding a talent and keeping it to myself. I really enjoy candidly capturing "life as we know it" to document "this phase of life" for families. I have always been creative and I have a photography background from school, but it took over a decade for me to decide to take photos of others. I'm glad I decided to just start doing it, I hope that my "Yes" brings a huge blessing to your family.
A Little About My Style
Should it be called "Style"... I like to shoot what I would call sunny candid-intentional. I am not your typical photographer. I would rather have you looking at one another over looking at me. Why look at me?!? I intentionally will capture some shots of you looking at me of course, but the best shots are the shots where you're truly enjoying "right now" and when I can capture those shots that really pause time, those are the real deal! I'm not too into setting up perfectly posed shots... i'll direct, but not pose.
I prefer to shoot outdoors, playing off the magic sunlight can bring to a session. Our session is basically a play date for you guys, where you wander around outside and don't have to worry about much. Your part is to just intentionally keep a smile on your face, and my part is to pause time.
If a kid gets fussy, don't stress! Smile and go in for a hug or snuggle. The camera doesn't hear them. Even if the littles get wild and crazy, keep that smile and let real life happen. I'll do my job of capturing the perfect photos that really pause time and become a treasure to forever remember this season.
